For the traditional golfer, try the Pender Island Golf & Country Club. This 9 hole Gulf Island Jewel offers four elevated tee boxes and affords expansive views of the shots that lie ahead. The course is deceptively challenging, with 6 separate tees for the back nine. Golfing on Pender Island is totally affordable at under $40.00 for 18 holes.
Visit Pender Island Golf for photos and images of the course, location details, course map, rates and more.
The Pender Islands Community Hall hosts an assortment of events: concerts, plays, art exhibitions, markets and fairs. Set at the edge of a unique pine forest next to farmlands, the Community Hall fits beautifully into the Pender Island ambience: warm and welcoming.
The Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning throughout the summer. It's really popular with the locals so get there early to get your hands to the best goods.
During your visit to North Pender, enjoy the incredible scenery with a Kayak tour from Pender Island Kayak Adventures. Guided tours range from two hours to full day tours with prices ranging from $45.00 per person. It's known that Orcas will swim quite close to the shoreline during migration months, so make sure you ask Jay, the owner of Pender Island Kayak Adventures, about the best viewing spots.
When you get hungry, we recommend the Pender Island Bakery Cafe at the Driftwood Center or the Pistou Grill for a sampling of local seafood and produce.
